Stainless and Alloy Steels
Although ELG has developed facilities to maintain its position as the major supplier to Worldwide bulk stainless consumers, we are also dedicated to the supply of all stainless steel specifications and alloys steels to other melting outlets.
Our supply network has ensured the constant flow of our raw materials in the form of metals and alloy steels. We have the capability to analyse, sort and process materials for various steel making and foundry applications, and by discussion with potential customers, we can offer cost effective and guaranteed furnace charges for both your regular and special requirements.
We are experienced in materials ranging from low alloy engineering steels to complex, heat and corrosion resistant alloys. Our customers benefit from our access to a wide range of raw materials, combined with least cost mix computer technology to provide predictable and cost effective material supply.
Metals and Ferro Alloys
We can supply from stock a wide range of Ferro alloys and pure metals for melt addition. These include Nickel, Molybdenum, Tungsten and Cobalt.
ELG has the facilities for the processing of Titanium and its alloys for all end user markets.
Stainless Steel Solids
Processed to suit all melting applications from the smallest induction melting furnaces to the largest Arc/AOD procedure.
Densified Feedstock & Coolant
Analytically guaranteed material processed to provide a dense and homogeneous furnace feed and coolant.
Stainless Steel Turnings
Processed by sampling, analysing and crushing to provide guaranteed analysis material primarily for arc furnace melting.
High Speed/Tool Steel Solids
Both solids and turnings are sorted into specific grades for sale as guaranteed analysis material.
Special Alloys
Specific Nickel based and other complex alloys are processed to meet the demands of vacuum induction and air melting applications.
Blended Products
By utilisation of the wide range of secondary alloys and metals available to use, we can offer blends of specified weight, to melt out to the customers required specification.
This helps our customers to minimise costs by avoiding unnecessary use of expensive prime metals.

ELG ACQUIRES SHEARER MORMET LTD - 01/10/2008 With effect from 1st October 2008, Shearer Mormet Ltd in Glasgow was acquired by ELG Haniel Metals Ltd, the UK arm of the global ELG Haniel Group. The acquisition will strengthen ELG’s capabilities as a leading supplier of raw materials to the Steel Industry.
